First of all, go to graphics settings and capture a screenshot, you'll have to readjust graphics settings right after cleaning The Sims 4 folder. (Optional, but will make your game run smoother and prevent crashes a lot tbh) So I think what we need to do first is to clean our Sims 4 folder (located in Documents/Electronic Arts).
So I recently figured out a way to solve this problem, only for vampire sim:ġ. This has been so frustrating for me and I really hope that some one can find the solution. Tried testing with no tattoo, accessories and even clothes. And right when I changed to another outfit, both the 3rd and 4th skin details were both removed on my sim. For more details, so I was only able to use about 2 or 3 skin details on my mermaid sim and whenever I clicked on the 4th one, of course in differently area, the third one always disappeared however, there was still a green line framing the third skin detail, which got removed from the sim's face, in the "skin details" displaying tab. It always let me use as many skin datils as I wanted before High School Years expansion pack and now it just keeps bugging and not letting me use my cc skin details on mermaid sims. I haven't experienced it with other occults, tried with spellcaster and vampire (aliens are still having some issue which the skin details sometime switched to other ones after changing to another outfit or leaving CAS). And seems like this problem only occurs with mermaid sims. I don't know when this started, specifically, but pretty sure it was after the newest EP. I couldn't freely manage skin details for my mermaid sim, either. The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.
